Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best recognized for her role as House in the Fox medical drama House. She grew up in Wayne and was raised in a strict Jewish tradition. As a teenager, 18, she emigrated in New York City to study at Tisch School of the Arts. The school quickly became a fixture in the New York club scene. Her shows were so captivating that the local press took note. In the end, she teamed her talents and fame the ability to write and compose to produce a play called Positive Me. Soon after, she was offered an interview with MTV, hosting Awake to the Wild Side. When Awake on the Wild Side had stopped airing, she started acting in films as well as on TV, starting with small roles. As time went on, her work in acting grew.
