
Aahoo Jahansouzshahi (January 10, 1980), also known professionally as Sarah Shahi, is an American actress. She was previously a model. She was the lead character Carmen on The L Word, Kate Reed on USA Network's legal drama Fairly Legal (2011-2012) and Sameen Shaw on CBS the crime drama Person of Interest(2012-2016). Also, she has appeared in the main role Det. Dani Reese in Life,[3] as well as in a supporting role in Alias. She also appeared in Reverie in the series Reverie, which premiered in 2018. She was a regular part in City on a Hill on Showtime[5] as well as seven episodes of The Rookie as Jessica Russo who was her love interest. Shahi met Robert Altman while working as an actor on Dr. T and the Women of Texas. Robert Altman encouraged Shahi to relocate to Hollywood where she was offered roles in Alias and Dawson's Creek and Reba and Supernatural. She played the second season's supporting role for DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales in The L Word in 2005. Shahi's two-year contract was not renewed at the end of the fourth season and her character was written out
